Keywording files allows you to categorize your files quickly and easily.

With keywords you can assign words to files which describe the contents of the file. You can then search for these keywords to quickly find any type of file.

Keywording Keywords are used to describe your files for searching and organization. You can assign multiple keywords to any file to describe its contents.

Setting Keywords
Keywords can be specified for a file from the main program window or from the Image Viewer. You may specify keywords to more than one file at the same time.

To set keywords for a file(s) from the main program window:

1. Select the file or files to which you wish to assign keywords.
2. Open the Keyword window by selecting Keyword from the Edit menu. Keyboard shortcut: Press Ctrl + W.
3. In the 'Keywords to add/set/remove' field, enter the keyword or keywords to add for these files.
4. Click 'Apply' to add the keyword(s). Keyboard shortcut: Press ENTER.
5. Keyword changes take effect immediatly. Close the window at any time by clicking 'Close'.

To add keywords from the Image Viewer:
1. Open the file in the Image Viewer.
2. Follow steps 2 through 5 outlined above.

Removing Keywords
If you would like to remove a keyword from a file or files, you can perform that function from the Keyword window.

To remove a keyword, open the Keyword window as explained in 'Setting Keywords' above. Enter the keyword(s) to remove from the selected file(s) in the 'Keywords to add/set/remove' field. Click the 'Remove' button.

Replacing Keywords
If you would like to replace an existing keyword set with another, select the file(s) and open the Keyword window as described above. Enter the new set of keywords for the file(s) in the 'Keywords to add/set/remove' field. Click the 'Replace All' button.

Replacing keywords removes the current set of keywords for the selected file(s) and adds the newly specified keywords.

Searching By Keywords Keywords can be particularly useful when you are searching for files. supports searching for files based on their keywords.
