the preferences dialog allows you to change options about the way the application is displayed, as well as how the application works overall. you access the application's preferences dialog via the View menu as shown below.
Upon selection of the Preferences menu, the following dialog should be displayed, note that all current preferences should be reflected in the dialog's information. The different sections of the preferences dialog are explained below.
the default font section allows you to change the font family used in the display of jpilot-db as well as the font size, only font sizes 9-14 are allowed.
the working directory option allows you to select the "startup" directory for jpilot-db. you select the directory by clicking on the folder icon.
the logging section allows you to change the way messages and errors are logged in the application. most users probably won't need to change this unless you're going to submit bugs to trevershick@users.sourceforge.net . Anyhow, the three items you can change are:
the look and feel section allows you to choose what Java pluggable look and feel you wish to use. only the installed look and feel classes are show in the list, and your list may look different than the one in the image.
