This is a very simple monitor for Uninterruptible Power Supplies that
adhere to the ``Smart UPS'' protocol.

This program is not intented to be particularly useful, it's just the
protocol information contained inside the file ``smartups.h'' that
has some value.  The entire protocol specification has been guessed
from some APC (American Power Conversion Inc.) devices.  It's not
believed to be fully correct, but should suffice in its current form
to allow writing software that can manage the more important features
of these devices, including automatic power fail shutdown.

I don't have any of these devices available now (i've got access to
them only for a weekend), but i appreciate any comments.
