2.1.7 Users: Upgrading to 2.1.7.1 is actually quite easy and can be
done in one of several ways:

        o Source upgrade:
Simply unpack the 2.1.7.1 kernel sources on top of your
2.1.7 sources by running the install.sh script in
                the 2.1.7.1 src directory.

Build a new kernel, reboot. You're basically running
all the major improvements in 2.1.7.1 now, but if you
also want to be thorough about it then you could also
extract the full 2.1.7.1 sources and make the world.

        o Binary upgrade:
For this, it's probably best to simply use 2.1.7.1's
upgrade option and just select the bin distribution.
This will get you new binaries and a new 2.1.7.1 kernel
                to run.

Again, very little in 2.1.7.1 has changed and mostly in the area of
the SCSI drivers (more specificially, the Adaptec 2940 support under heavy
load). If your 2.1.7 system is working well for you, you probably don't
need to touch it - this only occasionally affects heavily loaded machines,
like news servers.
